The Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERIP), the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) and actuarial studies of both plans have resulted in potentially adverse impacts on the retirement fund. At its November 5, 2020 meeting, the Retirement Board voted to send a letter to the City Manager, Mayor and City Councilmembers, outlining the Board’s concerns and requesting reimbursement of costs incurred.
